Massachusetts and Thomas Land

Hello Friends!

We took our trip to Thomas Land, and boy was it fun. We learned that Bostonians are loud, friendly, and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. It was definitely refreshing to be in an area where people are genuinely nice. In one part of Quincy Market, I was lugging Xabi's stroller up the stairs, because the ramp was way on the other side of the market. One gentleman helped carry it up the stairs for me. That would have never happened in California. I ate lobster, lobster, and more lobster. Their lobster rolls and lobster bisque are TO DIE FOR. They are amazing.

The history of Boston and the surrounding areas are just so interesting. The buildings and architecture, are breathtaking. I hope we get to come back. Boston, and the surrounding areas are just beautiful!

The purpose of this trip was a reminder, to make memories, embrace the changes in our lives, and to bond as a broken family. We wanted to remind X that we can make memories, no matter how sad we are. To keep making memories, and make room for happy moments in the sadness.

Randy and I cried everyday on this trip. Often when X was asleep, or when we were driving in the car.

There was one day that we were at Thomas Land, and I looked over at the toddler t-shirts, wishing I could buy one for Bastian, and I started to cry. A little boy ran into the store, and his mom chased after him. She called out "Bastian, you can't go in there." Thank you Bastian, for the reminder, that you are always here with us even when not here physically. I see your signs my boy, and I'm thankful you keep sending them.
